Day 24 St Ives to Pendeen Watch

It was my penultimate walk and the book said severe. I was not looking forward to it because the last severe walk to Port Issac was punishing. Made a good start out of St Ives around the Island and headed of away from Porthmeor Beach. Unfortunately the signs for the path were confusing and I ended up on a public footpath heading back to St Ives. This was the last thing I wanted with 15 hard miles ahead of me. It took me about half an hour to get myself back in the right direction.

The walk prior to Zennor was more like a scramble/ climb over rocks and boulders. The whole walk took me about 8 hours and I felt like some had kicked me in both knees. But I did it! It was lovely to see Andy coming up the track to meet me. The bath at the B&B was even more welcome. Last day coming up.
